I paint in matter.

I trace, scratch, draw, write, engrave, tear in the mass.

I seek the emotion of a relief, a claw, a wound on the skin of the canvas.

I express the story of a moment that freezes under the skin. The memory of the gesture that struggles in the dark dough tells of the long and full time of everyday life and the visceral energy of the living. The white veil erases, seeks to blur the stigmata but on the contrary reveals the imperfections bringing to light the relief of an ephemeral existence in the light.

From the deep structure of the dermis to the surface of the ultimate layer of the epidermis revealing its being : its fine lines, its scars, its sutures.  Vibrations of the body, from the encephalogram of thought to the spectrograph of the voice, Life expresses in relief the destiny traversed. The white veil reveals the living dark matter in perpetual motion. The canvas makes visible the visceral and vital energy of the living.

My artistic practice involves working directly with materials. I engage in tracing, scraping, drawing, writing, engraving, and tearing within the substance. I seek to evoke the emotion of texture, a mark, or a wound on the surface of the canvas.

My work conveys the narrative of a moment that becomes encapsulated beneath the surface. The memory of the gesture struggles within the dark medium, narrating the prolonged and rich experience of daily life and the visceral energy of existence. The layer of color attempts to obscure the scars but, in fact, reveals imperfections, bringing to light the imprint of a fleeting existence illuminated by light.
