Katya Ross is a London-based painter, print designer and textile artist (@katya.ross.art). Katya has been obsessed with art and design since her childhood, having undertaken various courses and trainings to develop her skills and vision.
Katya’s professional artistic career started in 2014 when one of her artworks was exhibited for the first time with Imitate Modern Gallery, London. At the same time, she began collaborating with the Box Boutique fashion shop in Chelsea, creating a range of items including hoodies, T-shirts and i-Phone cases with her designs.
In 2016 Katya completed a Master’s in Modern and Contemporary Art at Christie’s Education, London, which helped her to establish a new direction to her art practice. She moved away from the urban contemporary style of her earlier paintings to create geometrical abstraction works.
In recent years Katya participated in a number of very exciting projects including her collaboration as a textile artist with a Moscow-based fashion brand Vestiaire (@_vestiaire_). The capsule collections were featured in Vogue Russia on a number of occasions.
In 2018 Katya took on her first collaborative interior design project in the Caribbean resort Four Seasons, Nevis. She created a number of site-specific works which are now in a private collection.
Katya’s works from the Circles series have been exhibited at Luxembourg International Contemporary Art Fair in September 2020.
